Attendance & RFID
Card-tap attendance captured at the classroom door, matched to the timetable, visible to administrators and students.
Rooms fitted with an RFID or fingerprint reader report each tap to Sivitas. A tap is matched to the class scheduled in that room at that time, and the student is marked present for that session.
Requirements
- The reader's ID is entered on the room in Facilities.
- Students' card numbers are stored on their People record.
- The term's schedule is published, so Sivitas knows which class is in the room.
RFID Log (administrators)
- Choose a building or room in the tree, or All.
- Set a date range.
- The table lists every tap with student, time, room, matched class and status (matched, no class at that time, unknown card). Export to Excel for audits.
Unmatched taps usually mean the schedule changed after publication or a student tapped in the wrong room. Lecturers can still mark attendance manually in the Teaching console.
Activities (students)
Students open Activities › Attendance to see their own tap history: date and time, class, room and status. This lets a student check their record before an attendance threshold affects their grade.
Lecturers
RFID taps appear in the class's Attendance grid as suggested marks. Accept them or correct individual students.
