People

The directory of faculty, students and staff with HR tabs, groups, cohorts and bulk import.

People is the single record for everyone in the institution. Other modules reference these records rather than keeping their own copies, so a lecturer's name, discipline or employment status is changed in one place.

The module is split into Faculty, Student, Staff, Community and User Role.

Faculty

• List and add. The faculty list shows every lecturer with status, department and expertise group. Add Faculty creates a record and, optionally, a login.
• Import. Import Faculty downloads an Excel template; fill it and upload. The result screen lists created, updated and rejected rows with the reason for each rejection.
• Manage. Opening a lecturer shows tabs: Profile, Family, Education, Bank, Language, Medical History, HR Information and Account Setting. HR Information holds employment type (full-time, part-time, visiting), rank and start date, which feed faculty sufficiency and remuneration.
• Grouping. Create committees or teams and add members; groups can be used as the addressee of assignment letters.
• Advisor. Assign academic advisors to students.

Students

• List, add, import. As for faculty, with an Excel or CSV template. Import New Major moves students between study programs in bulk.
• Manage. Profile, Education, Medical History, Language, HR Information and Account Setting tabs.
• Final Project Students. The roster of final-year students, with bulk upload. See Final project.
• Student Grouping. Ad hoc groups used for enrollment and messaging.
• Student Batch. Intake cohorts (for example the 2026 intake of a program). Import Batch assigns students to a cohort in bulk; batch groups subdivide a cohort into parallel classes. Cohorts are what the AI scheduler protects from timetable clashes.

Staff

Administrative staff records with the same tab set as faculty. Staff can hold administrative roles without appearing in teaching allocation.

Community

Lightweight named groups with a description and content items, used for clubs, student organizations or interest groups.

If your student system is the source of truth

Institutions that sync people from a central academic system should not edit synced fields here; the next sync overwrites them. Fields that Sivitas owns (discipline, HR tabs, roles) are preserved. See Integrations & API.
